The Retrojet CLI is a single file. Put the binary for your system somewhere on your PATH and you are done.

Pick your binary

FileSystem
retrojet-darwin-arm64macOS on Apple silicon (M1 and later)
retrojet-darwin-amd64macOS on Intel
retrojet-linux-amd64Linux x86_64
retrojet-linux-arm64Linux ARM64, for example Graviton or a 64-bit Raspberry Pi
retrojet-windows-amd64.exeWindows x86_64

Each release also ships a checksums.txt with the SHA-256 of every file, so you can check that a download is complete and unchanged:

shasum -a 256 retrojet-darwin-arm64 # hash of the file you downloaded
grep retrojet-darwin-arm64 checksums.txt # the published hash, must be the same

Install script

  curl -fsSL https://retrojetdev.cloud/compose.sh | sh

Manual install

macOS and Linux

The example uses the Apple silicon binary. Swap the file name for your system from the table above.

  mkdir -p ~/.retrojet/bin
cp retrojet-darwin-arm64 ~/.retrojet/bin/retrojet
chmod +x ~/.retrojet/bin/retrojet
echo 'export PATH="$HOME/.retrojet/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc

On Linux with bash, write the last line to ~/.bashrc instead. Open a new terminal afterwards.

macOS blocks binaries downloaded through a browser until Apple has signed them, with the message “cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified”. Remove the quarantine flag once:

  xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ~/.retrojet/bin/retrojet

Files downloaded with curl, like the install script will do, never get this flag.

Windows

  1. Create a folder, for example C:\Tools\retrojet.
  2. Copy retrojet-windows-amd64.exe into it and rename it to retrojet.exe.
  3. Add the folder to your Path under Settings → System → About → Advanced system settings → Environment Variables.
  4. Open a new terminal.

Check the install

  retrojet --version

  retrojet version 0.1.0

Next: sign in and connect a project.
